Our focus is on the empowerment of the individual through respecting decisions and choice making, promoting dignity, developing skills, encouraging independence, integration into the community and respecting the rights and roles of all human beings.

What is self directed funding?

Self directed funding is essentially about three things for people living with a disability and their families;  independence, choice and social inclusion. It places the individual at the centre of decision making.

People with a disability and their families can become active participants in the design and delivery of their disability support. With the assistance of a host provider, they can plan, purchase and select supports and services that meet their individual needs.

Your Life Your Choices allows choice between: receiving services that are delivered by funded non-government providers in the traditional way; or to self-direct their supports designed by them to suit their needs specifically.
